Charles ‘Ed’ Eisenhut Sept. 2, 1939 — Feb. 1, 2010 Jamestown resident Charles “Ed” Eisenhut died Monday at Sonora Regional Medical Center. He was 70. He was born in San Francisco and had lived in Jamestown since 1980. He served in the U.S. Marines. Owner of Foothill Cabinets and cabinet maker for 40 years, he enjoyed fishing, drag racing, boating and spending time with his family. Mr. Eisenhut is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia Eisenhut of Jamestown; sons, Mark Eisenhut and Marty Eisenhut, both of Jamestown, and Michael Eisenhut of Twain Harte; a daughter, Merry Seaver of Colusa; a brother, Richard Tanner; sisters, Carol Bokenfohr, and Martha Tanner; and grandchildren, Jenny, Joshua, Kristina, Trevor, Devon, Matthew, Michaela and Hannah Eisenhut, Matthew Tracy, Colt Seaver and Paul Seaver. No services are planned. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements. Juanita V. Schettler Dec. 7, 1932 — Jan. 31, 2010 Angels Camp resident Juanita V. Schettler died Sunday at a San Andreas convalescent hospital. She was 77. She was born in Plain View, Ark., and had lived in Angels Camp for 25 years. She was a retired waitress who worked for Galvin's Restaurant in Murphys, the former 49er Cafe originally in Angels Camp, for many years. Her family said she was past treasurer for the “Pack C,” the group that helped save Angels Creek years ago. She is survived by her children, Danny Coffman of Modesto, Sharon Coffman of Ceres, and Pattie Coffman of Angels Camp; a brother, Larry McCurry of Oregon; sisters, Shelby “Jean” Zunino, and Donna Gray both of Lindsay; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Earl Schettler; and son, Gary Culberth. Visitation is scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Angels Camp Memorial Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel. Burial is scheduled for Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi. Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
