Long meeting continues today |
Slick roads and a long agenda prompted the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors to continue Tuesday’s meeting to 1:30 p.m. today.
It’s a rare move for supervisors, who meet on Tuesdays. But with sub-freezing temperatures set to turn the day’s melting snow to ice, the board decided the best move was to continue the meeting. A few items remained to be discussed by the 4:45 p.m. end of Tuesday’s meeting. The biggest item remaining on the agenda is the consideration of reorganizing and streamlining the county’s committee and organizational handbook. Committees are generally appointed bodies made up of citizens and various county officials that help direct policies. Supervisors also are scheduled to give reports on the annual California State Association of Counties’ conference in Monterey, which four of them — Dick Pland, John Gray, Teri Murrison and Paolo Maffei — attended last month.
Also on the agenda is an agreement involving a Behavioral Health
Department psychiatrist and a closed session involving litigation. |
