TUOLUMNE COUNTY Sheriff’s reports FRIDAY 10:45 a.m., Sonora area — A 20-year-old man working on a house near Highway 49 and Columbia Way reportedly cut his leg to the bone with a chain saw. 3:18 p.m., East Sonora — Stolen property was found in a truck on the 14300 block of Tuolumne Road. The property was returned to the owner. 5:16 p.m., Jamestown — A 16-year-old boy was suspected of taking three pocketknives from a shop on the 18200 block of Main Street. According to the sheriff’s report, another person took possession of the knives and kept them after learning they were stolen. During questioning, deputies found a pipe consistent with the type used for smoking marijuana. SATURDAY 7:02 a.m., Sonora — A woman on the 19000 block of Berg Court said someone broke into her vehicle through the rear passenger PlexiGlas window. Stolen were $30 from the glove box, a pair of gloves, two bags of groceries and a black leather bag. Her insurance card and other miscellaneous paperwork were in the bag. 9:11 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman said her vacation cabin on the 23500 block of Kreitzer Way had been burglarized. A television set, comforter and tools were missing. SUNDAY 7:51 a.m., Groveland area — Open bags of dumped trash were reported at Flint Court and Ferretti Road. 9:36 a.m., Tuttletown — Two men in a small white pickup stopped along the side of the road and shot a turkey with a shotgun on Jackass Hill Road near Highway 49. 1:26 p.m., Twain Harte — License plate tags were stolen from three vehicles on the 18600 block of Cherokee Drive. 3:46 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman on the 22000 block of Longeway Road reported thieves taunting her from the forest behind her home by playing what she believes to be her stolen trumpet. 9:55 p.m., Sonora — A man was reported for requesting cigarettes and beer on the 11100 block of Washington Street. 10:44 p.m., Cedar Rock Lodge — A man was reportedly attempting to kick a door in on the 20800 block of Longeway Road. Felony bookings FRIDAY 3:42 a.m., Tuolumne — Sean Steven McIntyre, 48, of the 18700 block of Mill Villa Road in Jamestown, booked on suspicion of drug possession, violation of probation and a misdemeanor charge of false identification to a peace officer on the 19400 block of Tuolumne Road North. 6:55 p.m., Sonora — John Schalk, 51, of the 22400 block of Gunsight Road, booked on suspicion of threatening a crime with the intent to terrorize and a misdemeanor count of false imprisonment. 7 p.m., Sonora — Thomas Joseph Layden III, 62, a transient, booked on suspicion of arson and a misdemeanor count of vandalism on the first block of Snell Street. SUNDAY 1:55 a.m., Twain Harte — Andrew Earl Oppenhein, 21, of the 19800 block of Hani Drive, arrested at Cedar Street and Joaquin Gully Road. 4:20 a.m., Don Pedro area — Misty Martinez Chavez, 20, of the 18400 block of Tuolumne Road, arrested at La Grange Road North and Bonds Flat Road. Sonora police reports FRIDAY 3:26 p.m., school assist — A stolen iPod was recovered by staff at Sonora High School on Snell Street. A student who admitted to stealing it three or four weeks ago was turned over to the Tuolumne County Probation Department and was to be suspended from school for five days. 7:07 p.m., public intoxication — A man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after reportedly causing a disturbance at a high school football game. SUNDAY 8:10 a.m., suspicious incident — A person was found walking down Cabezut Road in a bathrobe. 12:03 p.m., fraud — A woman reported a cell phone account was opened in her name in 2006. 1:09 p.m., child appearance — A person found a 2-year-old boy outside of his home on the 100 block of Greenley Road. 10:41 p.m., vandalism — A person reported a car vandalized at the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.
