Stolp: More H1N1 vaccine en route |
Tuolumne County Health Officer Todd Stolp at Monday night’s Sonora City Council meeting reviewed the county’s efforts to fight the H1N1 virus and announced that the population on the priority list for the vaccine has expanded to include people ages 25 to 64 with chronic illnesses.
The availability of the vaccine increased because doses of the vaccine that doctors had ordered are now being delivered, Stolp said. People aged 25 to 64 with chronic illnesses like asthma or heart conditions can now go to their doctors to get the vaccine. The county will administer free vaccines today to Sonora High School students. After today, 3,000 people in Tuolumne County will have been vaccinated for the H1N1 virus.
