Sheriff’s reports

WEDNESDAY
    8:20 a.m., Columbia area — A man in a white pickup dumped 25 bags of trash off an embankment  near the 13100 block of Yankee Hill Road.
    9:25 a.m., Sonora area — A woman reported her mailbox vandalized and a check stolen on the 18100 block of Calle Oeste.
    10:08 a.m., Groveland — A man reported finding marijuana and growing equipment in a house on the 12800 block of Mueller Drive.
    1:54 p.m., Twain Harte area — A woman reported a deer that had been shot in the face at the 23400 block of Tanager Drive.
    4:32 p.m., Twain Harte area — A man reported someone letting water out of Twain Harte Lake, causing erosion.

Arrests

    Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

WEDNESDAY
    11:07 a.m., Mono Vista area — Robert Anthony Galaz, 43, of the 20300 block of South Sunshine Road, arrested at his home.
    5:10 p.m., Sonora — Anthony Joe Schweitzer, 54, of the 16800 block of Apple Colony Road in Tuolumne, arrested at the intersection of Pine Street and Hodge Avenue.

TUESDAY
    11:25 a.m., animal complaint — Officers found five dogs in a cab over a camper with no air circulation at the 1000 block of Sanguinetti Road.
    12:16 p.m., theft — A ladder was reported stolen on North Washington Street.
    4:29 p.m., attempted theft — Officers reported two men fighting in the intersection of Mono Way and Greenley Road. One man was a store employee attempting to stop a shoplifter.
    8:04 p.m., theft — A woman reported a credit card on the 800 block of Mono Way.

Sheriff’s reports

TUESDAY
    4:50 a.m., San Andreas — A suspicious person was found sleeping in the post office.
    8:11 a.m., San Andreas — Vandalism was found at Calaveras High School.
    9:31 a.m., Mountain Ranch — Fraud was reported on the 300 block of Pine Cone Way.
    10:05 a.m., Copperopolis — A power saw was reported stolen on the 3400 block of Arrowhead Street.
    10:29 a.m., Arnold — A tractor bucket was stolen on the 2700 block of Highway 4.
    1:18 p.m., Rail Road Flat — Someone’s identity was reported stolen on the 900 block of Doe Road.
    4:09 p.m., Valley Springs — A suspicious person was reportedly engaged in “unauthorized hunting on private property” on the 100 block of Appaloosa Way.

THURSDAY
    3:30 a.m., Murphys — Albert Dean Miles, 21, of the 3900 block of Juniper Drive, Angels Camp, after an arrest on Highway 4 west of Pennsylvania Gulch Road.

WEDNESDAY
    11:30 a.m., Angels Camp — Carla Alexandria Still, 22, of the 100 block of Dogtown Road, booked on suspicion of obstructing or resisting a peace officer or emergency worker, after an arrest on the 200 block of Dogtown Road.
    5:12 p.m., Angels Camp — Francisco G. Flores, 21, of the 9000 block of Mountain Ranch Road, Mountain Ranch, booked on suspicion of possessing marijuana for sale and selling marijuana, after an arrest on Highway 49 south of Lee Lane.
