Gus George Poulon April 8, 1926 — Nov. 1, 2009 Gus George Poulon died Nov. 1 at his Angels Camp residence. He was 83. His wife, Norma, died a week later, on Nov. 8, at their residence. They are survived by a son, Jerome Poulon, of Washington state; a daughter, Nadine Martin and her husband, Thomas, of Red Bluff; a daughter-in-law, Pamela Jackson, of Washington state; grandsons, Scott Martin, Nick Poulon and Thomas Poulon and his wife, Helen, all of Washington; and granddaughters, Jaime Burroughs and her husband, Joseph, of Stanislaus County, and Angelina Poulon, of Washington state. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Angels Memorial Chapel. Private burial will be held at Altaville Protestant Cemetery in Altaville. Donations in their names may be made to Calaveras-Amador Hospice, P.O. Box 595, Jackson, CA 95642. Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements. Norma Rose Poulon Feb. 20, 1928 — Nov. 8, 2009 Norma Rose Poulon died Nov. 8 at her Angels Camp residence. She was 81. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, on Nov. 1. James Robert Davis Sept. 27, 1940 — Nov. 8, 2009 James Robert Davis, of Rail Road Flat, died Nov. 8 at Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital in San Andreas. He was 69. A native of Tuttle, N.D., Mr. Davis grew up in Lodi and was a diesel mechanic most of his life. He was a volunteer for the Liberty Fire Department in Acampo. He built the home where he and his family lived in Rail Road Flat for the past 25 years. His hobbies were the outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judy Davis, of Rail Road Flat; his daughters, Debbie Quiel and her husband, Dave, of Galt, Lori Morales and her husband, Matt, of Alta Loma, and Cindy Davis, of Acampo; sisters, Violet Heyd, Louise Salaun, Tootie Fletcher, Lu Galindo and Joie Cawelti, all of Lodi; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation is from 1 to 5 p.m. today at San Andreas Memorial Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at San Andreas Memorial Chapel, followed immediately by a celebration of life at the American Legion Hall in Glencoe. Inurnment will be private.
