TUOLUMNE COUNTY Sheriff’s reports THURSDAY 8:19 a.m., Jamestown — A caller said a man was watching children walk to school on Fifth Avenue at Ninth Street. 10:11 a.m., Standard area — A man from a church on the 15100 block of Tuolumne Road said he found and destroyed a marijuana plant growing on the church property. 7:10 p.m., Groveland — A home was broken into on the 12300 block of Shooting Star Court. 9:35 p.m., Soulsbyville — A home was egged on the 21300 block of Oman Drive. 10:18 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said a man assaulted her with a walking stick on the 10300 block of Preston Lane. FRIDAY 2:13 a.m., Standard area — A man driving on Tuolumne Road at Eagle Ridge Road was stopped for having a headlight out and suspended registration and was cited for driving on an expired driver’s license. A search of his vehicle produced a white crystalline substance he allegedly admitted to deputies was for “cutting” methamphetamine. Felony bookings THURSDAY 1:03 a.m., Phoenix Lake area — Janelle Eleanor Martinez, 20, transient, booked on suspicion of assault after an arrest on the 20600 block of Upper Hillview Drive. 2:09 a.m., Jamestown — Janice Marie Barton, 38, transient, booked on suspicion of transporting drugs and misdemeanor charges of possessing drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended license, after a traffic stop and subsequent arrest on the 18100 block of Highway 108. 8:06 a.m., Tuolumne — Karen Eileen McMenomy, 49, of Oakdale, booked on suspicion of possessing drugs and misdemeanor possessing drug paraphernalia, after an arrest on the 19400 block of Tuolumne Road North. Also arrested was Ignacio Nacho Padilla, 58, of the 18400 block of Main Street, Tuolumne, on suspicion of possessing drugs and misdemeanor possessing a switchblade knife. Sonora police reports THURSDAY 9:16 a.m., assault — A man said a woman assaulted him on South Barretta Street, following a custody exchange. 3:11 p.m., theft — An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of shoplifting on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.
