David ‘Dave’ Stevenson July 30, 1929 — Aug. 10, 2009 David “Dave” Stevenson, of Jenny Lind, died Aug. 10. He was 80. Mr. Stevenson was born in Stockton to Robert and Ora Stevenson. He and his family moved to Jenny Lind in the spring of 1962. He worked for American Forest Products for 38 years, where he acquired a passion for woodworking, his family said. He was a member of the Campo Seco Odd Fellows Lodge 66 for 40 years, holding many offices over the years. In 1976-77, he was appointed grand guardian for the Odd Fellows Grand Lodge of California. In addition to these offices, he was an elected trustee for the Odd Fellows-Rebekah Children’s Home in Gilroy. He was also an active member of the Jenny Lind Volunteer Fire Department, serving two years as its commissioner. Family and friends were his first interest, family said. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Stevenson; and great-grandson, David Stevenson, his namesake. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Charlotte Stevenson, of Jenny Lind; daughters, Susan Eheler, of Stockton, Kathleen Kuntz and her husband, Darryl, of Jenny Lind; a brother-in-law, Richard DeRivi, and his wife, Charlene, of Jenny Lind; seven grandchildren, Nicholle Williams and her husband, Aaron, of Ione, Patricia Hope and her husband, Michael, of Stockton; Tiffiny Kuntz, of Jenny Lind, Marcus Faccini, of Sacramento, Matthew Faccini, of Sacramento, Carl Faccini, of Lode and Katie Faccini, of Lodi; and three great-grandchildren. Donations may be made in Mr. Stevenson’s name to Scleroderma Research Foundation, 220 Montgomery St., Suite 1411, San Francisco, CA 94104, or the American Parkinson’s Research Foundation, 10850 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90024. Viewing will be from noon to 7 p.m. Monday at San Andreas Memorial Chapel, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. at the chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 18, at St. Andrews Catholic Church, 162 Church Hill Road in San Andreas. Burial will be in the Jenny Lind International Order of the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Notices BERGSTROM — Lewis Bergstrom, 83, died Aug. 13 at his Sonora home. A memorial service will begin at noon Saturday at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel with burial following at Ripon Cemetery, 320 N. Stockton Ave., Ripon.
