A big-rig hauling logs overturned Monday near The Junction shopping center, spilling its load and closing Mono Way.

The solo-vehicle accident near Tuolumne Road was reported at 2:57 p.m.

According to California Highway Patrol officials, the truck was heading east on Mono Way, en route to Sierra Pacific Industries’ Standard mill. Witnesses said they saw the truck’s load shift before the rig turned over.

The spill tied up traffic on Mono Way.

The driver was identified as Cordell Wright, of Sonora.

 No injuries were reported.

Sierra Pacific Industries spokesman Mark Luster said the load was slated to be delivered to SPI’s mill in Lincoln. Because of the late hour Monday, the truck was going to leave the logs at the Standard location overnight and resume the trek to Lincoln this morning.
